Re-read for the second time. This now reads as a very early, more amateurish work compared to her other books. It is, I think, the only story in third person, and the POV hopping is choppy to say the least. If she were to write it now (or edit it for re-release), it would be much smoother. Having said that, I enjoyed it very much, and I was sad that Jude couldn't have both Eoin and Joe the dog. Joe was a great dog.
